Akeela's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Akeela's Story...
Akeela is a beautiful 2 year old lab/pharaoh hound mix. She came to 4Paws2Love very pregnant and was able to have her puppies in a safe and loving foster home. All 10 of her puppies have found loving forever homes and now it is Akeela's turn. Akeela did test positive for heartworms and has gone through treatment. She is well into her recovery and able to start her search for a loving forever home.

Akeela loves attention from people and is very eager to please. She is trying hard to be a good mommy but she really just wants her people to love on her. Her ears are the most amazing thing you will ever see earning her the nickname of Roo for Kangaroo. She is house and crate trained but prefers to just lay on the bed with her people. She is good with other dogs, and people of all ages. Akeela needs to be in a home with no cats. If you need a lot of love and long ears in your life she is your girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Akeela, a DFW Pharaoh Hound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pharaoh Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in DFW, or seeking a Pharaoh Hound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in DFW.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in DFW already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a DFW breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pharaoh Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pharaoh Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in DFW paves the way for another one to be saved.
