Well hello and a big how are you! My name is Phil and what I lack in size, I make up for in sweetness. I'm about 10 months old and about 18 lbs. When I'm full grown I'll probably be just a little over 20 lbs. I'd be good in a house or in an apartment. I'm an extremely friendly chap, once I get to know you. I'm a little cautious with new people, but my natural affectionate nature wins over in just a short time and then, I'm just putty in your arms. I'm love toys, play fetch, and hang out with other dogs. My foster mom says that I'm a quick study. I've already learned to use the dog door when I need to go potty, I'm working hard on my leash training and basic obedience. I'm making some very good progress, because I am very eager to please, I love to go for car rides. I'm also crate-trained and will let you sleep in, as I'm a late sleeper! Want to meet me? About WAGS fund

Our Adoption Process...

We work hard to find the perfect home for all the dogs and cats in our care. Listed below is the sequence of events that we go through to assure that our pets and our applicants are the perfect match for each other:

1. Fill out and return our adoption application form.

2. After receiving your application, we will verify with your vet the care on your current or
previous animals.

3. We will contact you to discuss your current situation and which pet you are interested in

4. After discussion, we will arrange a time for you to meet your prospective new family
member. We may suggest you bring your other pets to this meeting.

5. If the initial meeting goes well and both parties agree to move forward with the
adoption, we will make an appt and bring the pet to your home to meet all family
members - human and furry

6. If, at the home visit, both parties agree that the home is good match for the adoptable
pet, we will move forward with the adoption. (Please note, some dogs may require several “visits” to the home in order to feel comfortable and transition smoothly into their new environment.)

7. We ask the new family to have a crate, food, toys, treats, etc. ready before the home visit.

8. At the home visit we will review the Home Visit Checklist and Adoption Checklist, review and sign the adoption contract, collect the adoption fee ($200) and take the Happy Tail photo.

9. That same volunteer will check in either by phone or email to make sure things are going well and to answer any questions you might have. Please respond in a timely manner (1-2 days)

10. 7-14 days after the adoption, we will collect the medical records for your adopted pet and send them to you. We will also update the pet’s microchip record with your information.
