From the Foster: We have only had Cabella for a few short days, but she has quickly melted our hearts. We were worried the first day we brought her home, because we were unsure she would know how to play appropriately with our miniature dachshund. Cabella picked up very quickly to her not so playful foster brother, and has been very respectful in giving him his space. A perfect day for Cabella may consist of laying on the couch and happily greeting human friends that come to the house. Cabella loves her kennel, and has been sleeping peacefully in there at night. She will sometimes go to her kennel if she is afraid or is told "NO". Cabella does seem a little scared of new surroundings, and loud noises. She startles easily, but the more time she is with us the more she is relaxing. We are unsure if Cabella has a voice as of now, we have not heard a peep out of her! She is very loving and affectionate, but is also okay with laying on her own. She is working hard on not jumping up on people when she gets super excited to see them, and is very easily corrected. She has just recently had 2 small accidents in the house, so may need more help with sticking to a schedule to help with potty training. Cabella loves car rides, and is great on a leash. She seems to prefer a more leisurely pace so she can take in the fresh air. She has not show any aggression with food, treats, or toys, and seems to be more human attention oriented rather then food driven.
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
