There is a new Sheriff in town....my name is Duke. I was found wandering in a parking lot and I was surrendered to the animal shelter, my owner was contacted and they no longer wanted me. Sniff, Sniff. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was my lucky day! SMRS quickly came to my rescue.
I am now back in the saddle and ready to hit the trail to search for my forever home.
I am a young, handsome, energetic boy that enjoys being the center of attention.
I currently live with other dogs, but I would do best in a home by myself or with a female dog, you see I enjoy being the only furry leading man in the home. I am crate trained with no anxiety, beautifully house trained and I will alert you when I need to go outside. I am a versatile boy, so a home with a family, single person or an active older couple would be wonderful. I do need a home that has a fenced backyard which would allow me to burn off some puppy energy, but I am definitely not an outside dog. Although I do not live in a home with children, I have met and enjoy the children in the neighborhood who are all over the ages of 12 yrs old. I must tell you that I do walk well on a leash, sit on command and I will sit up on my haunches and beg for one of those delicious treats! My foster Mom and Dad say I am a "delight to have in their home" and I do provide daily entertainment when I toss my ball in the air and catch it. That's right I can almost entertain myself.
