Yesenia's Story...
Hi! My name is Yesenia and I am a spayed, DSH brown tabby. I was born on, or close to, June 1, 2016. I love to give kisses, snuggle with my foster mom, and I make the best air biscuits a kitten can make. I am one of the sweetest (and cutest!) kittens you will ever meet. I have pristine litter box habits and am not too picky about my food. I came to my foster home as a singlet, and while I have developed great friendships with all the other kitties there, I sometimes miss my days of singlehood. I would be a great single kitty or a great addition to a house full of animals. I’m just great all around! Please take me home!

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yesenia, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
