Roxy's story : She came to us from a unpleasant situation. She lost the use of her back legs and was not being medically treated. When she arrived she had open sores on her back feet, and severe upper respiratory infection. We didn't know what to expect but we knew right away she was special. She always has her 'nub' wagging and just loved all the workers and vet's who helped treat her. After 2 weeks we really started to see lots of improvement. We had a donated 'special walking harness' that we put her in and she just loved and her will to improve and get better increased 100%. Roxy has won all our hearts here at the rescue and all in her foster home with her 2 rottie brothers.
Applicants must have prior Rottweiler (or similar breed) experience. An approved adoption application is required. The $225 adoption fee (payable by cash only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
