Mabel's Story...

Arrived in June of 2016
DOB: 6/6/13
Adoption fee: $100

Mabel is a beautiful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix born in June 2013. She has a wonderfully loving personality and is energetic and playful. Mabel is always willing to play fetch. She may be okay with male dogs pending a dog to dog match-up, but will not share food with them. At this time we do not recommend her with cats. She loves to chase rabbits, gophers, anything that will run from her. Mabel would do best in a home with children over the age of 8. She will require a physically fenced-in yard. She is very talkative, and loves to tell you her life story on a daily basis. Mabel will make a great companion for the right situation.

*All HSSCM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and are microchipped.*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mabel, a Battle Creek Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever for sale in Battle Creek, or seeking a Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever dog from a breeder in Battle Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever breeders who help with Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
