To know Sherman is to love Sherman. He is absolutely one of the friendliest cats that we have ever gotten into rescue. He is a lap Kitty who just wants a lot of love. He loves to be with people, and he is a happy, mellow boy. He would do well in just about any home, but he is a bit of mouthy boy so he might do better in a home without very small children. He has been outside for a few months, so his coat is a little on the rough side, but he will be fine with a little bit of TLC.
Sherman and Daphne lost their home when their owner lost her home, and now we're going to try to find them a good home. Remember, we would like for them to go home together, but we are not going to insist on it.
If you are interested in adopting this precious boy, please contact us at email@example.com for an application. He is in a foster home in Ennis, Texas.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
Kitten Policy: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
