Jasper (Neutered)'s Story...
"Jasper" is a cute male kitten who was surrendered by his owner on June 24, 2016 along with his twin brother (Jason). These little guys were just 2-month old when they were brought to our shelter. They have spent half of their young lives sharing a small cage yet have maintained happy, affectionate personalities and love people :) "Jasper" has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a darling kitten face with golden eyes and a black button nose. He is slightly smaller than his brother Jason, but nearly impossible to tell apart (which is another great reason to adopt them together) :) "Jasper" was given vaccinations and wormer on June 24, 2016. We plan to have him and "Jason" neutered on September 14, 2016, and they will be available for adoption after that date. Their adoption fee will be just $20/each, and we'd love to see them remain together since they have never been separated since birth. UPDATE: "Jasper & Jason" were neutered on September 14, 2016 and were also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasper (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
