Looking for a LARGE lap dog? An 85 pound bundle of LOVE and licks? I’m your dog! I am a gorgeous Boxer mix (Boxer x Bullmastiff) with a heart of gold. I am just 4 years old, very healthy, well behaved, neutered, and up to date on my shots. I have been micro-chipped and am PERFECTLY house broken.

In my spare time, I love to chase the ball, go for long walks with my significant (human) other, and just spend time together. I love snuggling! There’s no more cuddly dog on earth than me. All in all, I really am the perfect canine companion.

I am best suited to a home without other dogs or cats, and where the kids are older. I can sometimes be like a bull in a china shop, and although I love kids, have been known to knock the little ones over. Teenagers are the best match for me.

My owner loves me so much, but life has played a nasty trick on her! She met the man of her dreams, and he is ALLERGIC to me. As much as we have tried to make it work, no go. His allergies are getting worse and worse being around me, and we have no choice other than to find me a home.

I live with my owner in Struthers, Ohio, just an hour away from Akron, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. My owner is so sad to have to do this, but is very hopeful that the Find My Pet A Home team will find me the perfect home and owners that will appreciate and cherish me.

I will be rehomed with all of my dog stuff, and also the sincere gratitude of my owner for giving me a loving home. She would love to stay in touch with me, if that is OK with you.

Please offer me a loving, forever home today. I can’t wait to meet you and show you how nice it feels to have an 85 pound dog sit on your lap!

Love and licks,

Jamison's Personality:

Jamison is a huge lap dog… he missed the memo that he weighs almost 100lbs. I have had him since he was 11 weeks old. He is a lover who adores snuggle time. He likes to go for long walks and play with a ball, stick or toy in the yard with me or my children. He is vocal and let’s you know he wants outside, his food dish is empty or just attention. He does NOT like crates or being closed in a room.

Reason For Rehoming:

Just got engaged and moving in with my soon to be husband who is allergic 🙁

About Cleveland Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In Cleveland and many other locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many Cleveland pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Pets available for adoption can be viewed on our website at

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach to pet-related businesses and services in Cleveland and area.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
