Sam (Neutered)'s Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Sam (Neutered)'s Story...
"Sam" is a handsome male kitten who arrived at the HSOV on June 23, 2016 along with his mother (Sookie) and his siblings (Alcide, Dawn, Lafayette, and Tara) after they were found in the Lower Salem Ohio area. The kittens were estimated to be 2-months old at that time. Momma "Sookie" has raised her babies to be happy playful youngsters and made the best of a bad situation being in a small cage instead of a proper home. "Sam" has a sleek black short smooth coat with a few white hairs on his chest, a long tail, and a beautiful face with golden eyes. We have him as a 'Special Needs Kitten' because he had a severe eye infection when he was brought to our shelter which has caused his left eye to remain cloudy. He appears to have normal vision in that eye, but it is noticeable when you see him in person. This little guy doesn't realize he looks any different than his siblings, and he can hold his own when it comes to playtime with them. "Sam" was given vaccinations and wormer on June 23, 2016. He was neutered on September 14, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. NOTE: "Sam" and his siblings are currently at the WeLovPets Store, Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio where they are available for adoption through the HSOV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
