~ ADOPTION PENDING ~

You may meet and apply to adopt Nicolette at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6th from 12 Noon – 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Nicolette is a female Shih Tzu/Maltese mix only 1 year old. She is a small, feminine young dog weighing in at 14 pounds full grown. Nicolette has a beautiful shiny black and white coat with adorable little white socks on her paws. Her coat is gently wavy and non-shedding. Nicolette is a quiet, sweet, dainty girl. She has a sensitive, gentle nature and will thrive in a home where she can feel safe and pampered to her heart's content. She is darling, sweetly affectionate and a true little lady. Nicolette will not do well in a loud, busy home and will be happiest in a peaceful environment with one or two people to give all her love to. Children will most likely be too much for this baby girl. Nicolette has wonderful indoor manners, is mellow, quiet and easy to care for. She starts out a bit shy, but in a short amount of time she becomes quite attached and will follow you everywhere. She likes treats and takes them carefully from your hand. Nicolette walks on leash without pulling and rides nicely in the car. She is content to hang out at home, poke around the backyard, or snuggle on the couch or in bed. She has very few demands and is easy to care for. We think Nicolette has had a hard life up until this point and would love a home and people that she can depend on. She is fine with other small dogs but does not need another dog in the home to feel secure. Nicolette was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She is healthy and ready for her new forever loving home today!

Nicolette’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Nicolette is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Carol and is ready for her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

NICOLETTE, a Newport Beach Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
