Hi! I'm Layla and I am 60 pounds of pure love. I'm a happy, friendly and wiggly girl who is happy to say hello and give a kiss to everyone I meet. I have quickly become a favorite of the staff, volunteers and vet staff. To meet me is to fall in love with me! I have lived with children. Previously, I have slept in a crate or dog bed at night time. I like to ride in the car but only if the windows are down so my lips can flap in the breeze. I am house trained and already know some basic commands. I'd do best in a home without livestock. My hobbies include: snoring, giving out kisses and basking in the sunshine. Whataya say? Don't I sound like the perfect dog? Please come down and meet me. I'd love to give you a big kiss. XOXO Layla!

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
