Denver's Story...
This poor boy is Denver, a 3 year old Pittie mix with an unfortunate past. When we found Denver, infected wounds and sores covered his whole body. He was weak, emaciated, and very run down. With the help of food, medical care, and lots of love, he has made great strides in recovery! Denver still has a little gimp in his left rear leg as the abscess on that knee was the worst one of them all. He may always have a little "hitch in his giddy up", but he hopes that will not deter any future families away. He looks for love and seems to crave it very much. We believe Denver has always lived outside, so he will require a patient family while he learns the ways and rules of an indoor family pet. We are really rooting for this boy to find his happily ever after that he deserves so much. With a history as rocky as his, Denver still has an outstanding personality. He is friendly with other dogs and appears to be okay with cats. We bet that he will love kids as much as he has loved everyone here. Denver's adoption fee is $160 and includes his vaccines, deworming, fecal exam, heartworm test, registered microchip, and neuter. Please don't pass this guy up for his imperfections. He deserves a chance, too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Denver, a Joliet American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Joliet, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
