Jeffrey was from a group of bunnies that were unexpected! His "mom" was rescued from the East Bay and now he's here looking for a family that will be calm, patient and have a "zen" like home. He's a bit shy and anxious, so we recommend rabbit savvy adults or children that are older and will understand that he needs time to get comfortable. He'll also need a yearly vet exam and nail trimming about every 4-6 months. Keep reading to learn more about what this sweet bun enjoys.

Jeffrey is young so keep in mind that the average life span for a well cared rabbit is 10-12 years of age. He prefers to be by himself and have a variety of toys to play with. In time we think with the right patient family he'll come out of his shell more.

All rabbits need time outside of their enclosure to burn off energy and to kick up their feet! A long hallway or a room they haven't been in before will do the trick. Getting out of their enclosure for 2-3 hours a day is critical. Not only does it help with boredom, but it helps with moving their food through their delicate system. And make sure to provide a variety of rabbit safe toys. Rotating them will keep them more interested in playing with them.

He should eat unlimited amounts of Timothy, Oat Hay and/or Orchard Grass hay, 2-3 tablespoons of pellets (no dried fruit or nut mixes), a small handful of veggies and an occasional piece of fruit as a treat.
