Good golly it’s really Ms. Molly! Molly is a 2 year and 5 month old Mountain Cur mix that is just as sweet as cherry pie. She has a very loving and extroverted personality and enjoys herself best when being active outside with you. Molly has a strong athletic build and is a true runner at heart making her a great running partner after some simple training. She has lots of energy and needs daily mental and physical stimulation but easily switches over to a calmer demeanor when given attention and pets. She loves getting cuddly with you and isn’t shy about trying to get on your lap during petting time. Molly knows some basic commands and is very treat motivated to learn more especially if pepperoni pizza is involved we discovered during our last board meeting. She has good potential in making doggy friends if proper introductions are used and good manners on both parties enforced. Her gorgeous brown, black and white brindle coat is soft and shiny and will be a breeze to keep groomed with some brushing and baths. Call today and make Molly’s dream of finding her active and loving fur-ever family come true. She’s already spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. About Friends of Michigan Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

FMAR is a non-profit 501(c)3 rescue for dogs and cats that started in April 2003 with the help and support of hundreds of wonderful people. Our mission is to protect animals and residents by promoting a healthy and safe enviornment for all. FMAR felt we needed to start in our own community helping our Animal Control facility find homes for the strays they pick up or are brought to them. On a rare occassion when we have extra space we do our best to help out neighboring communities too. We started in the family room of our home, adding kennels under and on the pool table and moving to the dining and livingroom. We grew by leaps and bounds, so we sold our home, bought a 61/2 acre farm and renovated the smaller of the 2 barns with 9 dog kennels and 5 unique cat kennels. Our first renovation allowed us to house a larger number of cats and dogs, but the need grew faster than our space would allow. We are amazed and saddened every day by the abundance of homeless pets and hoped to raise enough money to renovate our larger barn, but the need became so great we knew we had to find something smaller that we could better afford to renovate. We added on again but the space was still not enough. We found someone to donate another barn and had this barn moved to our property and renovated it as our new "Cat Haven".
Please visit our website at www.fmar1.org for more details on our growth and progress. We promise the best is yet to come!!

Our Adoption Process...

FMAR is an no-kill 501 C 3 tax-exempt all breed rescue, and like you, we are concerned about the welfare of the animals and the families that adopt them. We will require paperwork to be filled out and a consultation before an animal is adopted. Interaction with any other animals in your care is also required. We reserve the right to deny any adoption that we feel is not safe or comfortable for either the animal or potential adopter.
Our adoption costs vary, and include first set of vaccinations and spay/neuter. Cats and kittens start at $75 and dogs and puppies range from $100 - $175 depending on age, size and breed. We also offer micro chips at a very reasonable rate. For more information please send us an email at:
