Boomer is the sweetest little kiss bandit you’ll ever meet. This handsome boy is looking for a partner in crime! Boomer sticks to his friends like glue.. he just wants to be where the people are. He will shower you with kisses and tail wags and waits for the human of his dreams willing to return the love. The vet thinks he is about 2 years old and he is certainly ready to play. He knows some tricks like ‘sit’ and how to walk on the leash (although, sometimes he gets really excited when he sees a potential human friend). His best friend is a 6 month old kitten and they love to play. He is very gentle with her and even lets her nibble his dinner and share his water. Don’t let his gentleness fool you, Boomer is very protective over his friends and family. This big baby is heartworm positive and currently on medicine for the slow kill method. He has been neutered and checked out by the vet who recommends that his forever home is laid back. Although he will not be a dog for daily running until he's rid of the heartworms, he really loves to explore and sniff everything in the neighborhood. He has made it very clear that he wants a family that appreciates a good snuggle! Will you be Boomers new best friend and family?

About Cullen's Archangel RescuE

About Our Rescue Group...

WHY RESCUE?

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter…the cast-offs of human society.

I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.

And I was angry.

“God,” I said, “this is terrible! Why don’t you do something?”

God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly.

“I have done something," He replied. “I created you.”

ABOUT US…

CullensArchangelRescuE.org was started in 2003 for the protection and rescue of animals in need. Our mission is to educate the community, help animals in need, decrease the amount of strays in our community, and provide shelter for animals that are in need of adoption.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not currently have a shelter for the animals. We foster the animals in our own homes. We will be happy to show them to you by appointment. Please call or email to arrange. Our foster homes are in and around Columbia, SC (mainly). Out of state adoptions are ok, but same adoption procedures apply.

Our Adoption Process...

We adopt out of state at the adopter's expense. Please inquire about the process if you are out of state.

We require potential adopters to fill out an adoption application. Once we receive the application back we will check references (to be included in the application), a home visit will then be set up to see if the animal fits the family and the family fits the animal.

If the potential adopter is approved and all vet care has been finished on the pet, a non-refundable adoption fee is due via check, cash or Paypal.

We will check back on you and your new pet in a few days, 1 month and at 3 months (if there is a need, to make sure the adjustment period is a success). Should the adoption not work out, we will always take the animal back as quick as we can. It is required they are ONLY returned to us. Our screening process is geared to hopefully avoid unecessary returns. Please keep this in mind when adopting - it is intended to be a LONG TERM COMMITMENT.

Please ask the foster parent what the adoption fee is as some vary.

All animals come with the following (what the fee includes):

Vet exam, vaccines, deworming, heartworm test (dogs) or FELV/FIV test (cats/kittens), and spay or neuter.
