I have been working very hard at learning to trust humans and now the LPC ladies think I am ready to go to a home! Apparently my previous behavior and scars from a shock collar have led my human friends at LPC to believe I suffered a very abusive past. It still takes me a bit to warm up to new people (and sometimes I let out my very deep barks so they know I am a bit nervous) but I promise that once I know I can trust you, I will look right into you with my beautiful eyes and stay by your side. I am an older pup at eight years old but still love to go on walks and hikes, and I frolic in the run yard with much younger dogs. I might be biased, but after all I have been through, I believe I deserve a loving home that will take care of me, make me feel safe and is willing to give me the time to adjust. As of right now, I would probably do best with a local adoption so my potential new humans can come visit me and get to know me before taking me home. I am great with just about everything except for chickens. They are just too tempting! I am neutered, up to date on my shots, and my adoption fee is $85. In return you will get the best companion you could ever hope for!
