Buttercup's Story...
What sweet and adorable little kittens! Buckley, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Burt were rescued when they were 4 weeks old and nursed with mom for 2 weeks. They have been fostered in a home with children and a big German Shepherd who is cat friendly, so they are all super friendly, playful and love to cuddle. They are now ~12 weeks old, spayed/neutered and ready for their forever home.

Buckley, Bubbles, Buttercup and Burt will do best in homes with each other or another kitten, young adult cat or docile, kitten-friendly dog. Buckley, Buttercup and Burt are confident, playful and active and will do well with children of all ages. Bubbles is more of a gentle soul, and will therefore do best in a home that is not too busy or noisy.

Adoption fee is a minimum $75 per cat donation to Feral Fixers . All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and felv/fiv negative. Discounted adoption fee if two kittens or cats are adopted together, $130 for a pair. Brief screening questionaire and contract apply! Please email gotfriendlies@feralfixers.org or call (630) 881-7459 for more information

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttercup, a Lombard Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lombard, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Lombard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lombard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lombard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lombard paves the way for another one to be saved.
