Adoption Pending -- our little Davis will be Going Home 4 The Holidays & she'll have a Mom, Dad, Irish Wolfhound brother Kellan & a Maine Cat! We will not be accepting anymore adoption applications on her at this time.
Davis' breed is a mystery, we’re putting her at Terrier b/c we don’t know what else to call her. She looks like a mini-Irish Wolfhound but that's impossible since there is no 'mini' Irish Wolfhound since they are actually the largest breed of all dogs. What we do know is what a sweet, loving little character she is! Her coloring is what I would call Brindle but it’s gray & light tan with a white chest & paws. Of course her blue eyes are just stunning. She was named after the song from the 80's called 'Betty Davis Eyes!'
She is only a puppy now but we want everyone to realize she is going to be at least 50-55 lbs. which will make her a medium size dog full grown. She loves others dogs & everyone she meets & is extremely generous with her little butterfly kisses! We’re working on her paper-training & expect that she will be housebroken soon.
She has received all her puppy shots & Rabies, been microchipped, started on Heartworm medication & flea & tick for her duration with LnF Dog Rescue. When she is 5 months old we'll spay her. If she is adopted before she is 5 months old the adopter will be required to pay a $200 refundable deposit on top of the standard adoption fee. The $200 will be refunded with proof of Spay to LnF Dog Rescue. As with all our puppies, we do require that potential adopters work part-time or work from home. We truly believe that puppies need to be “raised” not left in a crate 8-9 hours a day. We also require that adopters have raised a puppy in their adult life. We do not adopt puppies to families with children under 8 or to senior citizen’s 60 & up.
Her former “owner” was seen literally throwing her out the window of a moving car in KY. Her life was saved by a Good Samaritan who saw it happen & stopped to rescue her & got her into a local rescue. She was very sick & spent 5 days in the hospital but all that is behind now. She’s perfectly healthy & just waiting for the perfect family to adopt her. We did incur extra costs from her hospitalization so we are asking that while it’s not mandatory ---- it would certainly be appreciated if the adopter could help us out by adding some of the additional costs to her adoption fee. We’ll provide her paid invoice when she was in KY upon adoption.
So if you’re interested in adopting this little cutie be sure to read our adoption requirements first & if you can meet or exceed them you can apply online at our website. An installed minimum 4 foot high fence is mandatory – no exceptions & we do not accept ANY type of electric fence. We do have strict adoption requirements for our rescued dogs but for puppies they are even stricter
