My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Patch is a 6.5 year old black and white Border Collie. He is a medium sized dog who weighs 44 pounds. He is great with kids and other dogs! Patch is a sweet, loyal and clever fellow who will be a great companion to the lucky person who gives him a home!
Patch and his brother Mack lost their home in Georgia when their elderly owner became ill and was forced to sell his farm and move into assisted living.
Mack was lucky and found a home! Unfortunately, upon arrival in CT the veterinarian determined that Patch needed hip surgery. Money was raised for Patch's surgery and the first surgery was successfully completed in September. His second hip surgery is scheduled for the end of October after which, Patch will be able to run pain free!
Patch is currently fostered in Old Saybrook, CT with a canine foster sibling. His foster Mom says he walks well on a leash and rides calmly in the car. Patch sleeps in his own bed in his foster Mom's bedroom.
Patch enjoys spending time outdoors in a fenced in yard where he loves to play with water from the hose. He would do best in a cat-free home as he finds cats too interesting!
Patch is house-trained, neutered, micro-chipped, current on shots and on flea and heart worm preventative medications.
