Cap's Story...
Meet Cap, big, beautiful hound, with a crooked tail and an unbreakable spirit. Cap is probably between 1 and 2 years old, and he just weighed-in at a strong and healthy 50 pounds. If you have room in your heart and your home for this fun-loving canine, please contact Cap's foster mom at martarichards@gmail.com or just stop by the Dog Adoption House, 8476 Highland Road, and take Cap out for a test run. He'll be waiting for you! All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cap, a Baton Rouge Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
