Clarinet's Story...
Introducing the "Instruments litter" of kittens; there are two girls left. They were born about 6/14/16, and joined a neighboring county shelter when they were only about 4 weeks old. We were able to transfer them in to Forget Me Not, as we had some extra space, and they are now spayed and ready for forever homes. Since they were so young when entering shelter care, they never had a chance to learn "street smarts" from their mama kitty, and should remain indoor-only kitties for their own safety.

Both of these girls are happy, playful, curious, and outgoing, and will make wonderful companions. We love Clarinet's fabulous Charlie Chaplin mustache!

We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome . Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." Clarinet is a great match for her sister Piccolo, or for any of the other kittens sharing Kitten Room 2 with her!

All kittens arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee for Clarinet is suggested minimum $50 (more gratefully accepted). Discount available for pair adoptions! All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clarinet, a Republic Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Republic, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
