Bella's Story...
Bella is an independent gal who would be right at home in a low-key household. She isn’t needy and constantly aching for attention, nor is she off-the-wall active and energetic. She’s a perfectly mellow, attentive, lovable gal. It takes Bella a moment to get used to new people, but once she’s comfortable she is happy to get attention. She has lived with other cats and dogs in the past and has done well with both, though she would prefer to be around cat savvy dogs who won’t overwhelm her. Bella has a history of being a gentle, smart, adorable companion, and she’d love to continue being so in a new home. - See more at: http://animalwelfaresociety.org/animals/bella-19/#sthash.N46uXfgg.dpuf

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a West Kennebunk Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Kennebunk, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Kennebunk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Kennebunk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Kennebunk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Kennebunk paves the way for another one to be saved.
