Who is looking for a loyal, sweet, laid back, people loving, bulldog? Jojo is the family member you've been waiting for. What a story he has to tell !
Jojo was rescued from ACS San Antonio. He'd been hit by a car, and as a result, needed his tail amputated; he'd been severely abused & neglected, nearly 25 pounds underweight; he was heart worm positive and covered in tumors. But he valiantly traveled to long road back to the healthy, loving, family dog he is now.
Jojo has been with his family for many months. He is very settled and laid back, loves youngsters, loves adults, love everyone. Because his family is involved in rescue, with the constant revolving door of dogs in and out, the painful decision has been made to find Jojo his own family and home. Jojo needs to be the only pet-no dogs, no cats. This is what he needs and where he'd be happiest. It's not fair to him to share his time with so many other dogs.
He is completely healthy now. He's 7-8 years old, 100 lbs, on heart worm, flea, tick preventative; current on all vaccines, and neutered.
He is housebroken, and his home must be an indoor one, He prefers to go out maybe twice a day, just to do his business, and come back in to snooze. Maintenance free, a cuddle bug, not a needy dog in any way.
An adoption application and a quick non invasive home check is necessary to adopt him. He is currently in the San Antonio Texas area, but transport can be arranged anywhere. Ideally, we can find him a home in San Antonio, but that's not a deal breaker. We ask a donation be made to help with other rescue dogs for him.

About Grateful hearts Senior Dog Rescue - Ohio Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of ladies specializing in rescuing primarily senior dogs off death row in Texas shelters-we have a committed and large foster network in Texas, and rescue there because of their high kill rates-and senior dogs have little hope of making it out alive.
We do occasionally rescue younger dogs as well, if their time has run out and they are headed for euthanasia.
All dogs come fully vetted, along with initial meds if needed for any treatment.
