Hi, I'm SHAWNEY - cute as can be! I'm 2 years old and sweet, but cannot be crated. I'm actually happy, sweet, very active and phenomenally adorable once I get to know and trust you but I intensely dislike being confined in a crate and will react by growling or nipping when being put in or taken out of the crate. I can be dog and person selective; if I like you then we're okay. If not, I can be reactive and could even nip. Because I have this issue, it is recommended that my forever family does not include children. I would do best in a home with a low level of stimulation; a calmer, quiet, environment would be ideal but with a space to use my boundless energy. I enjoy playing with my foster in a fenced yard so that would be ideal. I'm curious about my foster family's cat but I'm not sure what could happen if I ever had the chance to interact with them. I am spayed, up-to-date on Rabies and yearly vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. I'm ready to go to a home who can with time, love, appreciation of my high energy level and patient experienced training will help me be all that I can and should be. If that's you, please fill out an online dog adoption application for SHAWNEY.

About Our Rescue Group...
Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats from becoming victim to shelter euthanasia, while educating the public on the importance of adoption and spay and neuter in our community. Our 100% volunteer staff is dedicated to saving pregnant and nursing animals, as well as, orphaned puppies, homeless adult pets, and any unwanted animal, whether sick or healthy, black or spotted, if there is an open foster home and available funds. Every animal we rescue is placed in a foster home, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested, and provided any other necessary medical care. Once the animal is ready for adoption, they will remain in our foster program until a perfect match, between the animal and a new family, is made.
