LUCY's Story...
Meet Lucy.  Lucy's DOB is 3/22/13.  Lucy is an ABCA registered female,
tri-colored smooth coated Border Collie with prick ears.    She was an owner
relinquishment to BCIN, when her owner was suddenly called out of the
country.  Lucy has been well taken care of and was loved by her previous
owner.  Lucy lived in an apt. with 2 cats.  Lucy has beautiful manners and
is well trained.  She loves to play and fetch balls.  She is housebroken and
crate trained.

Lucy is affectionate and has a good temperament.  She is well socialized
with other dogs.  She has not been evaluated around small children.  Lucy is
typical of her breed.  She is smart and loyal, and needs a job to do.
However, Lucy does have an off button and enjoys just hanging out with you
too.  All in all, a really nice dog.

If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption
application.  We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any
meet and greets are scheduled.  The electronic application can be found on

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LUCY, a San Pedro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
