Gemini is just over one year of age and has had a lot of hardship in her short life. She was either abused or severely teased by men to the point she does not trust them. She also has a tendency to guard her food, treats and toys.
Gemini is very people focused and would prefer to be the only dog, but may be ok with one other dog about her size. She is very selective on what other dogs she likes so a meet and greet would definately be in order. Gemini is well mannered and doesnt bark or chew on things. She is also relatively calm but does love a good game of fetch.
Gemini is very smart and learns quickly. She is also treat motivated and eager to please and is potty trained.
Due to her history, Gemini will need an adopter who is dog experienced. She also requires no young children in the home and no cats.
The suggested donation fot Gemini is $300 which goes toward the high cost of vetting our rescue animals.

About Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, Inc. is a not for profit organization formed in 2014 by a small group of devoted animal lovers, in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area, with many years of rescue experience wanting to make a difference in the lives of dogs. Our rescue focuses on small breed dogs, less than 35 pounds, of any age. It is all volunteer based, and all of our rescue dogs are living in the homes of our volunteers.
Our rescue is unique in that we offer supportive services, such as education and training, to owners considering relinquishing their pet in an effort to try to keep the dog in their home whenever possible. We also educate and offer placement assistance to owners attempting to rehome their pets through social media sites, which can often be risky for the pets as well as the owners.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Watch for Meet and Greets where you are invited to meet our dogs. Individual meetings can also be scheduled.

Our Adoption Process...

Fill out an application on our website. After the vet and personal references have been called, a home visit will be scheduled. If it is determined that the dog is a good match for the family, and vise versa, an adoption date will be arranged.
Suggested donations amounts are based on vetting expenses incurred, age, physical condition, etc.
