Murphy has been with us for quite some time and is dreaming of a forever home! One of the Noteworthy Nine - nine cats that came from a family that could no longer care for them - ready to find a forever home! Please visit our website, www.colonialcapitalhs.org to fill out an application today!
The mission of Colonial Capital Humane Society is to rescue and relieve the suffering of abused, abandoned, and stray animals; provide for their care until forever homes can be found; and create greater public awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering and humane treatment of animals.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our shelter is located at 1860 Old Airport Road in New Bern, NC. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, appointments are required to visit our available pets.
We have adopt-a-thons several times a year at PetSense (located beside Harris Teeter) in New Bern.
Our Adoption Process...
The adoption application is located on our website. Home visits will be made and vet references must be provided. There is an adoption fee on all animals that helps to offset the cost of veterinary care and spay/neuter of the animal. The basic adoption fee is $150 for cats and $175 for dogs. This fee may vary depending on the pet. Please contact email@example.com for more information.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
