I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Roxanne is ready for a home of her own, and one that is ready to commit to her. Her previous owner turned her in when they no longer wanted to take care of her. Shes a sweet girl, who loves her men, but we want to be sure her next home is her forever home. Please visit our website, www.colonialcapitalhs.org to fill out an application today!
The mission of Colonial Capital Humane Society is to rescue and relieve the suffering of abused, abandoned, and stray animals; provide for their care until forever homes can be found; and create greater public awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering and humane treatment of animals.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our shelter is located at 1860 Old Airport Road in New Bern, NC. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, appointments are required to visit our available pets.
We have adopt-a-thons at PetSmart (Wal-Mart shopping center) in New Bern on most weekends.
Our Adoption Process...
The adoption application is located on our website. Home visits will be made and vet references must be provided. There is an adoption fee on all animals that helps to offset the cost of veterinary care and spay/neuter of the animal. The basic adoption fee is $150 for cats and $175 for dogs. This fee may vary depending on the pet. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
