Athena: 4-5 month old, Female, Calico DSH

Hello, my name is Athena. I am about 4-5 months old. My foster mom says that I am a super sweet baby who loves to be held and cuddled. I am very loving with humans and would love to have my own human family.

You might be wondering why I am up for adoption. Well, my foster mom actually takes care of several colonies of cats. She feeds about 340 cats at night all by herself…yes, you read that correctly! She contacted Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue to help find a loving home for me and perhaps for one of my siblings that are also posted on the Purebreds Plus Kitten website. My foster mom is a true kitty saint, wouldn’t you agree?

I have been spayed, had my kitten vaccinations, and have been microchipped.

If you really like me, please contact Frauke at 925-784-8244 or to find out more about me. I can hardly wait to be in my forever home! Maybe it will be with you!

Athena is fostered in Fremont, CA. If possible, she would love to be adopted with one of her siblings.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Davis Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
