About Animal Shelter Volunteers of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

ASVT is made up entirely of volunteers who love animals and advocate for healthy animals and adoption.

We socialize pets at the shelter by walking and playing with them, providing play yards and human attention.

We transport dogs to higher rate adoption shelters for adoption.

We facilitate local adoptions at the shelter and by taking pets to local businesses and events for adoption fairs.

We provide medical care for ill/injured animals that the shelter is unable to treat due to budget concerns.

ASVT gladly accepts donations for our transport program, animal supplies (beds, cages, fencing, etc.) and for medical care. Thank you!

Our Adoption Process...

Adoptions are through the Conroe Animal Adoption Center (CAAC - city shelter). Adopters fill out an application and adoption is not final until animal is spayed/neutered.

Adoption fee is $85, however there are often specials (contact CAAC). This covers spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.
