JENNY (video)'s Story...
Hi there, I'm Jenny! I'm a 2-year-old spayed female Yellow Lab mix. I weigh around 49 pounds, which is on the small side for a Lab. This means that I'm most likely not purebred, although I'm not quite sure what I'm mixed with. Any guesses? I suppose it doesn't really matter, because I'm one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet.

I've got a sunny disposition and an upbeat attitude. You'll rarely find me without a smile on my face! My tail is always wagging, too. What can I say? I'm a happy pup! I love going on walks, meeting new friends of all ages and sizes (adults, kids & fellow dogs), giving kisses and getting belly rubs. Oh, and I love water! The volunteers at the shelter let me play in a kiddie pool, and it was so much fun! I guess that's the Labrador in me.

I'm such an amazing dog, it's a shame I'm homeless. Ive actually been in the pound twice. The first time was back in April 2016, when I was brought in as a stray. I spent about a week there before a family decided to adopt me. Boy, was I excited to have a home! My family and I were getting along great and having tons of fun. I thought my fairy tale was complete.

But much to my dismay and for no fault of my own, I was returned to the shelter just five months later. You see, my family was moving and couldn't take me along with them. I was so bummed. I thought family is supposed to stick together, no matter what! Luckily for me, a volunteer at the shelter told CageFree about me as soon as they laid eyes on me, and I was on my way to their facility the very next day.

Dogs like me don't come around everyday. I'm gorgeous, sweet and outgoing, and I can't wait to shower you with affection. I'm the total package! Oh, and I'm also microchipped and current on my vaccines, so I'm all ready to go to my forever home. So what are you waiting for? Contact CageFree right away and arrange a visit with me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JENNY (video), a Los Angeles Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
