Roadie's Story...
Hey guys! My name is Roadie. I was rescued from the wild outdoors when I was super little. Can you believe somebody left a little guy this cute on the side of the road?! Lucky for me there are nice people out there who know that adorable kitties belong indoors. I didn’t know what to think of people at first, but I’ve learned that they are very nice and they give me all the food I want, which is definitely a perk. I would just prefer that they sit on the floor to play with me – they’re like giants!

I am a very active little guy. I absolutely love to play. I really like toys that I can swat around and chance like tiny mice and balls. But it’s really fun when my foster family brings out that stick with the strings and feather on the end. I could chase that thing all day! My favorite place in the house is at the top of the cat tree. I can see everything from up there!

I don’t mind sharing my home with other kitties or doggies. As long as I have toys to play with, a cat tree to climb in, some beds to snuggle up in, and people to love me, I will be just fine. Does that sound like your house?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roadie, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
