My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LEO is a 1 year 8 month old intact chocolate male Lab who weighs 33 pounds but should weigh 55/60 pounds. He is a very friendly pup who has had a rough road but still wants to be everyone's friend, he likes to be with you getting attention and is happy being outside playing with other dogs. Like a lot of strays he likes to jump up on you to get attention and is learning not too. Because he was a stray he is always hungry and will probably counter surf. He would love to get a home with a family that can give him the care and exercise he needs. He will need a physical fenced yard so he can run around and get the exercise he needs to get back to his proper weight. He is eating 3 meals a day so need someone that is home at noon time to feed him. Leo is feeling great and doesn't realize how thin he is/ he is eating 2 cups of food 3 times a day to gain weight. Good with other dogs, has been out with other Lab Rescue pups at the kennel. No cat history. Knows sit, come. Will have a training addendum as he is a young pup. Pulls some on lead better with an Easy Walk Harness. Seems to be house and crate trained. Keeping his run clean at the kennel. Leo comes from the suburbs and has no exposure to big cities. Placement is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. No kid history so Leo is approved for kids aged 10+.

Update:: Leo is a sweet boy who keeps his foster humans laughing! He is a silly boy who rolls around on his back and makes funny noises. He is housebroken and a super lovebug.

Update: Leo is taking it easy after just being neutered. He's a bit bummed that he cannot get up on the sofa and bed since he is just a lovebug! He loves to be petted and get belly rubs. Leo is house trained and crate trained and only needs to be crated when people aren't home He loves to play with all dogs. Leo is almost 2 years old and needs a fenced yard to play in

Update:: Leo knows how to sit nicely for treats. He has gained another pound and his fur is looking nice. Leo has a new foster buddy, Big Head, visiting him and is doing his best to get him to play. He also makes sure to get as much petting as BH. He is a loveable dog, housetrained, and needs a fenced-in yard where he can play and run. No invisible fence.

Update:: Leo is flourishing at his fosters'. He is gaining weight and his hair is growing back nicely. Leo is learning to chase tenmis balls and hopefully will learn to bring them back. He is enjoying playing with his foster sister. He is finding out what marrow bones are all about and had his first peanut butter kong last night. Leo is a loving and gentle boy and will make a great addition to any family. He is housetrained and will need a fenced yard.

Update: Leo has made himself at home. He enjoys cuddling on the sofa, going out in the backyard with foster sister and GOOD FOOD! Leo is looking for a family to fatten him up and give him all the attention and love he has been missing.

Leo's story: He was a stray to one of the shelters we now work with in NC. Shelter repots This baby was excited to see me He is an friendly and affectionate young pup, I did get some licks on my hand. He needs some TLC, he is SO skinny and seems to have a skin problem He weighed about 27 lbs. when he came in to the shelter (should be 55-60 lbs.). Despite what he has been through Leo is very friendly and likes people.
