Shadow's Story...
Shadow was brought to our Center to help his owners look for a new home for him. The following day when they were supposed to bring him back, they never showed up. A few days later we saw him on one of the photos for the East shelter intake, so we had to take him out! He is such a good, loving and funny boy but we don't think he realizes his size. He will need a little bit of help learning manners but other than that he will be perfect for an active family. Shadow is a 10 month old lab/pit mix. He loves to play with his toys. He bonds pretty quickly to his human. He's pretty active so needs someone who will walk him or takw hum on hikes. He would be a great hiking buddy. He loves his belly rubbed and smiles when you rub it. He's house trained and gets along with dogs but needs to learn boundaries.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Mesa Pit Bull Terrier/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Golden Retriever for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
