Facts about Josh

  • Breed: Greyhound
  • Color: White - With Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 619
Josh is only 1 and 1/2 and just arrived from a greyhound farm. His racing career was non-existent as he had an ankle injury. He seems to do fine with small dogs, but he is not cat tolerant.

I hope you're having a relaxing weekend. I am. I'm hanging out at the spa with Lorenzo, and a few other greyhounds. Yesterday, we had a party. A bunch of people came over. We laughed. We talked. We played around in the water. We ate yummy snacks. That's what weekends are all about.

Weekends suit me because I'm a chill kinda guy. Even though I'm big (almost 80 pounds) and young (19 months), I'm quiet, gentle and like to go with the flow.

I haven't started my Pet Dog 101 classes yet, but I think if I apply myself I'll do well. I'm ready to move into a foster home now. I can move into a forever home after my no-puppies surgery on September 26.

Peace Out,

Josh

P.S. Troy said I should mention I'm 100% greyhound and 0% cow. He said sometimes people get confused because we're white and we have black spots on our fur. If you're looking for a pet cow, I can totally be a cow. You'll have to provide the fake horns.

FOSTER UPDATE:

Josh is a very sweet boy....basically an overgrown puppy. He loves people and follows us around the house. Josh also likes to play with squeaky toys. Hard rubber balls are his favorite.

Josh rides well in a car, walks well on a leash after the initial excitement and let's us know when he needs to go outside. Josh has been left alone with our other greyhounds for up to six hours, but has shown no separation anxiety. He likes to follow our dogs around so we think he'd be happiest living with a doggie buddy.

Josh loves everyone, but doesn't understand how big he is. We're working with him on jumping, but he can be a bit of a bull in a china shop when he's excited. As a result, he might now be a good match for homes with toddlers or people with balance issues.

Josh is a goofball and is highly entertaining. He's going to be a great companion.
