Lorenzo's Info...

Lorenzo's Story...
Lorenzo just turned 2 and just didn't have the will to race. He arrived in Tucson from a greyhound farm in Oklahoma. His small dog status is not yet known, but he appears to do fine with cats. He will be available soon.

Aubrey called me earlier to welcome we to the SA GREYS family. She said I was a scalawag. At first, I didn't know what to say. I think my wag is completely normal. Then she explained it's International Talk Like a Pirate Day and she just meant I'm a rascal. I LIKE IT!

Aubrey told me all about life in a foster home. It sounds like there's lots of booty...squeaky toys, snacks, soft beds. I like that too! Then Aubrey described the game she plays in which her foster mom sprays water on her with the hose. Shiver me timbers, I'm not okay with that. Maybe my foster people can come up with a different game.

Even though I'm not super outgoing, I'm really looking forward to learning how to be a pet, celebrating crazy holidays and more than anything, loving and being loved by my foster and forever people.

Prepare to Be Pillaged and Plundered...I'm Going to Steal Your Heart,

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lorenzo, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
