Shanti's Story...
Shanti - Fostered in San Jose

My name is Shanti,  I am a very handsome 5 month old tripod. I was involved in an unfortunate accident and lost one of my legs, but that hasn't stopped me from being a happy, fun loving puppy.

I love meeting new people and animals, I can be shy and act like I am protecting  my family when strangers approach, but once we meet and exchange scents I'll be your best friend.  I am potty trained, I am crate trained, sleep through the night and behave well on the leash. I know all commands: Heel, Sit, Stay, Down. I retrieve balls and am learning the tug toy too!

I am a growing puppy so there is always room for improvement, overall  I am simply looking for a home with loving parents who will offer lots of chicken and toys!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shanti, a San Jose Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in San Jose, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in San Jose.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Jose already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Jose breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Jose paves the way for another one to be saved.
