Facts about Lucas

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Lucas is a 55 lb 2 year old lab and cattle dog mix with a beautiful white coat and spotted ears.
He loves belly rubs. And will relocate to make sure you do not miss a spot! Lucas loves giving hugs and kisses to his foster mom.

Lucas has excellent leash manners and is housetrained. He will also let you know when he needs to go outside to potty. He is shy and quiet, and his foster mom hasn't heard him bark once. Lucas gets along with his older foster siblings and seems to be friendly with everyone. He loves tearing up stuffed animals... Lucas is very smart and easily adjusted/adapted with the house schedule and rules. It takes him a moment to warm up to humans because he is a little scared (he has just recently been rescued), but he is very good about following his foster siblings' lead when it comes to interactions with humans.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.

About You Lucky Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We believe it is our moral responsibility to save, protect, and improve the lives of these dogs through the help of committed volunteers, foster homes, donors, local veterinarians, and trainers. We strive to re-introduce these dogs to society, assess their individual needs, and provide them with a loving temporary home while matching them with only the best, carefully screened forever homes

Our Adoption Process...

Our Mission is to ensure the best fit for each individual dog and applicant. We will not make arrangements for you to meet any dogs outside of an adoption event until you have completed the adoption application. In addition, a dog will not be placed in your home before You Lucky Dog has conducted a thorough reference check and completed a home visit. Please understand that the adoption and home visit process is not designed to be frustrating and drawn out, but rather to guarantee the safety and happiness of the dogs. During the home check, we will make sure that each pet in that home has been neutered/spayed and is up to date on all of their shots. The home check will be completed by the foster for the dog that you are considering adopting when feasible. Our foster parents dedicate their time and money to loving and training these dogs, and we rely on their input when meeting with a potential adopter. If your application is approved and your home visit meets the requirements that we have established, you will be required to sign a contract in order to complete the adoption process. The adoption fee is $300. All dogs will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all shots prior to adoptions.
