#blackfriday Yes, a little early for the holiday Black Friday, but this is our very own special with our very own special friend! Mallard is our Black Friday dog for the week! He is charming and friendly, and good with other dogs. He is a very pretty Lab mix who is looking forward to spending the "normal," Black Friday tucked away in a forever home, away from the shoppers! Come meet this sweetheart! His Black Friday reduced adoption fee is $80 now through 9/22/16!
Pets & People is a volunteer based organization that concentrates on rescuing dogs and cats from area municipal shelter"s "death row". All of these pets are tested for certain diseases, vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered, given preventative medication and sheltered until forever homes can be found. We primarily rescue from rural shelters in central Oklahoma but have been know to travel hours to rescue pets.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our shelter is open to the public from noon to 5:30, seven days a week. We are open on major holidays by appointment only. The address of our shelter is 701 Inla Ave, Yukon, Oklahoma.
Our Adoption Process...
Potential adopters will be required to fill out an initial questionnaire and to answer follow up questions. Veterinary references will be checked as well as home checks as necessary. We do not transport our pets to adopters. We like to have our adopters meet our pets and for us to meet them and their families. Our goal it to match our pets with appropriate homes.
