Facts about Pepper

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 33444242
  • Hair: Unknown
Katrina: cream/brown Seal Pt Siamese mix, short hair, female, born approx. 6/1/14, #12056
Pepper: black with tabby undertones, short hair, female, born 6/3/16, #12188

Katrina was found blind, heavily pregnant, and wandering the streets; just two days after arriving in foster care she gave birth to five healthy kittens—despite the new surroundings, Katrina settled right in and was a loving and attentive mommy. Her eyes have been thoroughly checked by a veterinary ophthalmologist and surgery was not deemed beneficial.

Katrina has been enjoying her kittens even more as they have grown bigger—she likes to play and wrestle with them (occasionally stopping to pin them down for a bath, of course). She has a favorite fuzzy pom-pom that Katrina likes to carry around as well as a stick with feathers on it. Katrina is very expressive with her voice and is extremely happy to snuggle in a warm lap. She does very well despite not being able to see, and while she’ll need some accommodation for that she really doesn’t need much!
Pepper is a very loving and rambunctious kitten who will play with everything; her favorites are boxes, pom-poms for soccer matches, and her friends! She ends her playtime by falling asleep in your lap, especially if she can settle into the nook of your knees belly-up... how adorable is that?

Katrina and Pepper did well with the other resident cats in their foster home. They haven’t met dogs, and we don’t know Katrina’s thoughts on that possibility though we feel Pepper would likely approach a dog with curiosity and playfulness. They both did well with three gentle children.

Both of these lovely kitties deserve safe and loving homes. It will be cozy, and entertaining, and ever so companionable to have either or both of them around!
