Elkie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Elkie's Story...
Elkie is heart worm positive but don't let that deter you from meeting her because our rescue will successfully treat it and she will be good to go. Her treatment starts next week 9-30-16. Elkie is a great girl. She is playful but gentle. She is very mindful of people and other dogs around her so she has learned manners for sure. She is potty and crate trained. She loves walks and does pretty well on her leash but she could use some work. Elkie loves attention from humans. Throw the ball, take her for a long walk, or cuddle up on the couch. She will love it all. She was given back to the shelter because they had unrealistic expectations of her. All she needs is love and some exercise and she is a great, great girl.
Please come and meet Elkie at one of our adoption events. All the information about our events is on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bullluvablepawsandchiwawasrescue
She is more beautiful in person!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elkie, a Dallas German Shepherd Dog/Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Dallas, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
