Maddy's Story...
This precious girls name is Maddy. She is a senior but don't let that deter you. She has lot's of spunk and loves to do her daily walks. She likes other dogs and seems to do well with just about anything. She does have heart worm that we are treating now. She will be successfully treated before she goes into her furever home. She a little overweight so her foster mom is working on that :) She was left in a backyard her whole life, in a dog house, so she does have some hip issues as well but that also comes with getting older and having weight on her. Our vet thinks she may not have many issues when she is a little less "fluffy". She is about 8-9 years old. Around 55 pounds right now. She is up to date on vaccines and is being treated for her heart worm 9-21-16. She will successfully treated for her heart worm before going into her furever home. She is gentle and fun. She likes to explore outside but has learned inside is a much cooler place so she does well. She is getting crate trained and is very much a lady about her potty manners. Maddy will do well in a family environment or with a single retired person. She requires lots of love and treats but the fat free kind, of course :)
Maddy is being fostered in Lake Tawakoni but she will be at our upcoming events. Please check our facebook page for information on those: www.facebook.com/bullluvablepawsandchiwawasrescue

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddy, a Dallas Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
