Just look at our handsome All American Mixed Breed fella, Pat! We rescued amazing Pat when he was scared and alone in a high intake shelter. He's a timid guy, but wow...once he gets to know you, he just wants to be your best friend! Weighing 46 pounds, Pat is ready to romp and play with you and all your friends! He is just over one year old as of September 2016. Pat is a very smart guy too! He already knows the command "sit" and is working hard to conquer "shake" so he can REALLY impress you during your meet and greet here at ITV. Pat loves water and enjoys playing in puddles on walks. He has a hankering for females and enjoys the company of other girlie dogs. One of his best friends is a sweetie named Sandy, and they enjoy their playtime in ITV's backyard. He loves leash walks and works hard to keep his kennel clean....remember, he does want to impress the girls!!!! Pat is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested, so he's ready to pick out his new family. Pat might be a Staffordshire Terrier mix. Pat is the furry fella who is ready to be loyal and loving. There is no rule that you must be a registered full bred dog to be awesome! If you are ready to take the leap and become a great pack leader to Pat, please submit your information at ITVRescue.org. Forever and stable homes need only apply. We want his walk out to his adopter's vehicle to be his last walk out of a shelter!
It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are generally at Petsmart on Burkhart every Sunday and have adoption events at various locations throughout the year.
Our Adoption Process...
We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $150 to $175. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.
