And what a life she has had!

At the young age of 5 months, our little Carmen pup was recused by Pet Tender Angels along with 19 other feral dogs near Cherrydale in Greenville . Since Carmen was so young she adjusted to her new life  at the shelter.  Carmen was shy so it took awhile for the perfect couple to come along and adopt her in 2009. But they were the 'perfect couple' and loved her so much.  She was  Daddy's girl and had so much love and attention.

Then this past year something HORRIBLE happened and the 'perfect couple' was killed in a car wreck. Carmen does not understand why mommy and daddy are not with her. She is back at the shelter..

Carmen is in need of a home again. Carmen needs to know love again and  live her life again. She is now 12 years old. Carmen is in good health and knows the house rules. She is used to living inside, housebroken, good with other dogs and quiet. Please find a space in your heart and home for this sweet girl.

Let her have Thanksgiving and Christmas at home again.

Patented Kuranda Dog Beds We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.

About Pet Tender Angels

About Our Shelter...

Pet Tender Angels is a rescue started by an individual who loves animals and wants to see no more homeless animals! The dogs in our rescue are off the streets. Strays, ferals, dumped....however they got there, our mission is to get them in loving homes and to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering and loving care of your pets. Pets are not material objects. They are part of the family and need love just like humans do.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our hours of operation vary from day to day, please contact us to make an appointment to come meet the dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

We strive to place our animals in the home that is the best possible match for the animal and the home. We have a four step process: 1. application 2. reference checks 3. phone interview 4. homevisit.

All our animals are spay/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on prevention. Our animals are in a homebased shelter and some are in foster care, so most are adjusted to the home experience and are crate trained. Our adoption fee is $125.
