Bentley's Story...
Bentley is clownish 1.5-year-old male Boxer and Pit Bull who came to Northwest Dog Project as an owner surrender due to a separation. 65-lb Bentley is a handsome guy with the goofy personality of a teenage pup -- he loves to play and cuddle, he will crawl right into a friendly lap. He enjoys the company of other dogs and shows good manners with them. He is currently housed with a petite female and has done great sharing his space with her. Bentley walks OK on leash and is easily redirected when he gets excited about something, but will benefit from some on-going training in his new home. Bentley is smart and eager to please which will make his training fun. This affable pup will be an outstanding companion for an active owner (he makes and excellent jogging buddy) who is accustomed to handling a strong -- but very sweet! -- dog. Bentley is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, crate trained and house trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Eugene Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Eugene, or seeking a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Eugene.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Eugene already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Eugene breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Eugene paves the way for another one to be saved.
