Wilbur is an incredibly sweet, goofy and exuberant 1.5 yr old tan-and-white male Bulldog mix who came to Northwest Dog Project from a high-kill shelter in LA. Weighing roughly 45 lbs, our staff has described him as the happiest dog they've ever met, and he definitely has that special puppy-like love of life! A real love bug with people (he won't hesitate to hop right up into your lap for attention), however he can be a little pushy and can become overly excited, so we are looking for a home with no young children. Wilbur gets along with non-dominant dogs his size.. Because of his enthusiasm, he should be properly introduced to new canine friends so as not to overwhelm them. Wilbur know his basic commands and has been through a 2 week board and trains where he was also e-collar trained. He shows signs of being housebroken, and walks well on leash although he could use some on-going training on leash in areas with lots of stimulation/distractions to perfect his skills. This boy is VERY eager to please and with some continued training and a structured household he is going to make an outstanding canine citizen. Super handsome with his adorable squishy face, Wilbur will make an incredible buddy for an active, experienced family that understands he is a strong dog with lots of playful puppy energy. Wilbur is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and crate trained.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do visits by appointment only and do require potential adopters to have an approved application on file with us prior to coming to the rescue to meet dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a thorough adoption process in order to make the best match possible for both our dogs and our adopters. We require that every adopter complete one of our adoption application. Once approved we arrange for a meet and greet, sometimes we do require multiple visits prior to adopting. We require home checks for all of our adopters and a mandatory foster to adopt trial for all of our adult dogs, before adoptions can be made official.
