My mother named me “Sir William The Pouncy of Catnip Castle”, but my friends just call me “Bill”.

Despite my royal lineage, I am a very down to earth, friendly cat. I am a HUGE fan of Temptations treats, and my favorite activity is cuddling. What more could you want in a cat – or a husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend for that matter!

I’m aged to purr-fection at just 10 years old. I am in very good health, have been neutered and I am very clean and well behaved. I always use my litter box – such a gentleman! I live in Lombard IL, just west of Chicago.

I have a great Meow, and I am a fantastic companion. I can carry on a conversation with most people, and even seem to understand what you are saying. It’s not a lot of work to be my owner; just feed me, keep my litter box clean, and be there to give me the love and snuggles I need and deserve.

My owners pulled a very mean trick on me. They asked a friend to take care of me when they moved out of state, planning to have me join them once they had found a place to live. I have been lovingly cared for by my foster mom since they left. Now they have told her that they are not able to take me.

I don’t know why they would abandon me like that – it makes me so sad. My foster mom loves me, but she can’t keep me permanently. She is dearly hoping to find me the loving home that I deserve – with people who will keep me safe, happy and healthy.

I get along great with dogs, children and adults. I prefer to be the only cat in the home, though.

If you have room in your heart and home for a great cat like me, please offer me a forever home today.

I can’t wait to purr my way into your heart!

About Chicago Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
