Reuben's Story...
Honestly, does it get any cuter than Reuben? Reuben is a highly energetic puppy that loves life, his toys and "his people". He was rescued from a high-intake kill shelter as a young pup. A loving ITV foster family stepped up to save Reuben, whom they call Rocky, and they have taken great care of him after his rescue from the shelter. Reuben is super loveable, loves to give kisses and strives to be a lap dog when he's ready to be still. He is dog and cat friendly, if the cat is willing. His foster mom reports that Reuben is potentially very trainable. Reuben has grown very comfortable with the leash and crate. He also sits on command. Reuben is working on his potty training, while still a work in progress, but it is going pretty well. He regularly goes out to potty and he is rewarded with praise and a treat for doing his business outside. Reuben is now neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. He will be an amazing addition to his forever family. If you would like to be his forever family, please complete an adoption application at ITVrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reuben, a Evansville Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
